It seems this patch has completely screwed my WoW launcher and downloader. Even though I pre-dloaded when it became ready on patch night. It seems that what ever I downloaded then hasn't counted and now my patcher is downloading at a breakneck speed of 30kb/s [/sarcasm]

I did as a few of you suggested last night and left to downloading while I slept. But at this rate, it will not be done for tonights raid. I'm wondering it has to do anything with my modem settings, or PC settings. As I'm no where near to pushing my bandwidth.

Any and all advice would be appreciated. Otherwise it could be a repeat of last night.

Check the forums. There's a LOT of discussion on it, you're not the only person with this issue. Lots of blue posts.

Do you have firewall blocking your dl? Tried dl patch from website rather than launcher?

No just checked. Somehow I've capped....... Which isn't normal.

Oh well, time to get onto Telstra. I'm going to give them a call and see if they can give me extra data, or start my next data billing cycle early. As my billing cycle resets tomorrow night.

As much as everyone bashes telstra. If you ask them kindly enough. They can usually give you what you want.

10GB extra to dload my patcher. I shall be set for raid tonight.

they do the right thing sometimes

mmmmk...

Suddenly WoW launcher tells me "Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your Internet configuration"

Was working yesterday.... any ideas?

Firewall or windows being a douche I reckon

After some futzing around it appears the wireless portion of my router suddenly decided it didn't want to live any more - just very strange that websites were loading and WoW wasn't, but after a router reboot I had 0 internets until I plugged in a cable, and voila all good. >:

Note: I HATE CABLES... it's a phobia. :p

Too afraid that you'll be tempted to chew on them? :p
