so particularly vye gnome as i know he's a bit of an online shop troll, i wanted to get a good list of decent online shops going here particularly for the aussies who have to put up with our craptastic retail and prices that come with it. so fire away guise.

I'm keen to see this too

In particular games for dsi etc

Clothing

Well from various dealings if it's cheap aftershave, cologne ect dealing through yesasia's aussie portal, yesstyle, tends to be about 40 - 50 % cheaper than aussie retail, rest of their stuff is relatively overpriced but and some is downright tacky. Be aware they use some pretty dodgy couriers at times so stuff can either be a few days or a few weeks depending on that. For clothing you might want to look at some of the american retailers like jcpenney ect as some of them do actually ship here and tend to be about 50 - 75 % cheaper than aussie retail (e.g. - looking at jackets yesterday, $500 in Perth, same thing available for $80 online). For games ect it's a bit more difficult den as there are some pieces of equipment with region locks and some new DS games have hardware checks that freeze the game randomly if modified. If you're looking for genuine try some of the UK online retailers and buy PAL games as these will wwork in DS consoles sold here(most are there). They do cut shipping costs and are cheap upfront (i.e - mario kart DS goes for $50 here, $15 over there and often less)

I am a novice when it comes to buying online. I have bought a small amount of pc hardware online - this will save you a little if you are prepared to wait. I don't bother unless it is a specific item difficult to find locally.

Got my Dell monitor recently from dell.com.au and that was trouble free.

Running a home theatre pc for the past few years using hand-me-down computer hardware. I have bought 3 different tv tuner cards from digitalnow.com.au. They tend to have very low prices and some innovative products for our particular variety of dvb-t. Latest thing I got there was a quad tuner card which is awesome. Extremely fast delivery and good forum feedback.

Recently I was trying to get a mid range hifi receiver. These things seem to be grossly overpriced here at hifi shops. The lower tier tend to be available at jbhifi at mid tier prices. I was after the newly released Onkyo tx-nr709. I saw the lower model Onkyo 609 at JB for ~A$1200. I ended up ordering 709 from digitalcentre.com.au for A$1100. Unfortunately that was 8 weeks ago. Courier has it now so I guess I'll get it this week. If I wasn't a patient person I would be going bananas over this.

Anyone else interested in using a computer to run your tv?

anyone know where to get cheap varsity jackets??? i've wanted one for a really long time now and haven't been able to find many from Aus.

Also does anyone use a Alienware computer? i've been looking at getting a new desktop but I don't know if I should get an Alienware, a different brand or get one custom built at a store in my town that custom builds computers.

urban outfitters or dr jays, as for the pc get a custom build... provided you get good advice you'll dodge some of the abysmal hardware/bloatware that gets put into premades and get extras sorted easily.

uhhhh thank you for showing me dr jays!
been looking for a online shop like this that has this many hats and suff

I'm looking at buying a 3DS solely to play Zelda.

Apart from Ebay which I don't entirely trust where would be the best place to buy one relatively cheap?

LOL emulators, more like virusators

That's awesome, thanks heaps Notus

Hope you didn't buy then, nintendo killed global pricing last week. Oh and a challenge for you all, see if you can find Arnette Men's Wager Sunglasses in the matte black colour cheaper than $70 AUD and you can have gnomerave to do with what you like for a week.
