I thought for sure i had posted about this before but im not finding it in my profile.

Anyways i would have posted sooner but i get so much negative feedback everywhere i post that it gets me down.

Pure and Split/Second were added to the library and right now if you purchase either one (19.99) you get a 50% off coupon and also until the 11th theyre throwing in another coupon 100% off that theyll send out on the 13th i believe.

The 100% coupon is a deal they have if you spend only $10 on anything they offer up until the 11th. You can do the Playpack for a month for 9.99 but you would still need that extra penny so youd have to spend at least a few more dollars either renting a game or getting The Ball for the $5 friday.

Theyre also having a sweepstakes for a home theater system and for every hour you play with Arena viewing enabled you get an extra entry.

Theyve also given random people in the arena prizes like a free game, t-shirt, hat or console system. Acutally i think thats over, they did that during E3. It might still be going on until the 11th, im not sure, i won already so i dont care. =p

You do need a good internet connection for good gaming with them.

Im bumping this because of the weekend special.

Now i know most of you arent in the US but you can still try this out. Poor Ilara, she gave it her all trying to get it up and running and just couldnt connect, im very happy she tried because it is worth checking out if you can. Theyre lowering the connection speed requirement "soon" which could mean any time but it could be soon =p so that just might make it playable for her.

Anyways at least try the program out, you can play games on your laptop too because its streamed to you. You just need to download a 7mb app.

Besides the indie game sale theyre giving out 50% and 30% off coupons found http://onlivefans.com/news/onlive-4th-of-july-sale-50-off-to-all-new-members-30-off-for-others/1193/
This is good until the 4th of july.
Try it out guys, its a really small file you have to install, it will work or it wont, if it does work you may really like it. =p
No game downloads or installations, streamed like Netflix movies and stuff.

Its meant to be used in the US and Canada but i have read a ton of feedback from people all over the world. It really depends on who it is and where they are but you do have a chance to check this out.
If it does work for you be careful with what you spend your money on, they can remove your access.
Almost all of the games are free to trial for 30 mins and you can repeat that 30 min trial as many times as you want but you cant continue your games. =p

Ask around while you're gaming if anyone is in Australia.. friend told me you need the minimum download AND upload speed, and there aren't many is Aus that will get 3mbps upload, if at all.

Anyway, stop flaunting your silly Cloud gaming.. TEAM FORTRESS IS WHERE IT'S AT! ;)

lol oh gawd

Its too bad Brink isnt free to play. =p

They recently updated their system to allow people with only a 2mbs download connection be able to play.
I dont know how all that stuff works but i know you have a better chance of seeing how it works now and you should be able to connect. Your connection can still suck balls but you still have a like 99% chance of connecting and seeing how this system plays. =)

Im not asking you to go buy anything, i recommend against that unless you can experience a very nice quality of gameplay (even then your access can be removed at any time) but it definitely is worth checking out. I think every game has a 30 minute trial and you can keep trialing it, but you start fresh every time.

Every friday they throw up a game for $5 besides lots of other deals they pop out here and there.

Even if this kind of thing was available for aussies, data plans just aren't tailored for high bandwidth applications. Here almost everyone buys ADSL with a data limit (for example 50GB per month) and you would chew through that pretty fast gaming at 2MBs. Could only see this kind of thing happening alongside agreements with isps to not meter traffic to certain services - like what the abc does with iview.

Oh yeah thats been discussed plenty on the fan site forum i visit.

Apparently even in america our isp's are getting more serious about the caps and are slowly moving it into every area. The caps are apparently already there but they just dont care except for in busy areas. Thats what ive read anyways. Ive seen some people say theyre getting charged after their cap is used up.

http://onlivefans.com/showthread.php?8921-Verizon-evaluating-bandwidth-caps&highlight=data
Thats one of a few threads ive seen where they discuss the caps. Theres several people on this forum that know a great ton of how all this stuff works and they argue back and forth pretty often. lol

One guy said:
1. We've all but had confirmation that OnLive isn't counted towards your data cap for most ISP's. As I said, we haven't had an official statement but all signs point to this being true. For instance multiple Comcast users have reported consistently going over their caps with OnLive for months without so much as a squeak being heard about it from the ISP.
but he was disputed while neither person in the argument has actual proof. I believe they did some tests and had different results so i think it might depend on the isp and the area.

I wish i could remember the other threads. Ill post them if i remember and they pop up again, i never paid too much attention cuz i havent experienced the cap myself yet.

Here is a new article talking about their new technology for wireless and how it will effect OnLives future.
http://onlivefans.com/news/onlives-...s-founder-steve-perlman-in-an-interview/1287/
Im still reading this article myself and just saw this from Steve Perlman (founder):
So this new wireless technology will enable OnLive to be lower latency than any other local device. There won’t be any bandwidth limits, really. You notice we have investors that are carriers. So, our carrier partners, we just announced a relationship with Juniper, our network partners. Mova, they are the people that do the facial stuff we’re in. You’re going to see all the pieces come together. And, as I said, it leaked out, not quite like the way I hoped it to leak out.

Tuesday updates for OnLive! Its a nice week this one.

Witcher added to the playpack! ($10 a month for almost 90 games now.)
Lara Croft Guardian Of Light added to the marketplace, i love this game and think every tomb raider should be like it. =p
Dirt 3 also added to the marketplace!

Also Vye i just realized i think you misunderstood me.
Im not sure the stuff streams at 2mbs, its just that you only need that fast a connection to be able to play on it. Before that it was a required 5mbs.

I forgot to mention this sooner.
Another labor day sale is goin on thats pretty good.
On top of that theyre selling Batman Arkham Asylum for 99 cents due to reaching enough facebook likes. If you do end up getting it you need to use the promo code "99cents" to get it for that price. =p
