Separate 10 and 25 Man Raid Lockout and Reward Changes in Korea
Similar to the test of shorter raid lockouts for older content, Korea is testing separate raid lockouts for 10 and 25 man, as well as higher item level rewards in 25 man raids. The translation below was provided by PrairieChicken .

We thought that Korean players wish to enjoy the most hardcore contents more flexibly and according to their play styles. Therefore, from the upcoming patch we decided to change the raid instance lockout rules for all KR servers. Raids, as usual, will be reset every 7 days following maintainance checks. However, after 5.1 patch 10 man and 25 man raids will have seperate lockouts.

From now on, players could play raid instances, such as Mogu-Shan Vaults, in both 10 man and 25 man difficulty. Normal and Heroic difficulty raid of same instance will share same lockout as usual. Furthermore, the loots of 25 man raids has been buffed, and will offer higher iLV compared to same 10 man instance. For example, Terrace of the Endless Spring in 25 man difficulty will drop loots with iLV of 504, wile 10 man will drop 496.

We wish that players will further enjoy the contents and gain satisfactory rewards, and decided to offer the system that suits most well with the KR players.

WTF ????????

True story there was days in wraith and late BC on dath were I could pug a 25 man on Friday with a alt, raid 10 man on the weekend with friends on my main, then still make the same hours we do now on my main for Guild 25's.I was a raiding God fingers of steel and loot flying out the window(So fark I could least get some shards on the D/e.)

Now I'm a spoon feed baby only allowed to raid 9 hours a week having to do my dailys like a good little gnome to wait for LFR then help the other 20+ bad's that I dont know / Dont want to know only to wait more weeks for my next meal of LFR and to fill in the hungry gap I'll guess more dailys are in order cause I play a MMORPG for solo daily quest.

nfjoke josh.

although i hope they bring back 10s and 25s because i loved being able to get back in there and stomp cunts dps.

If that happens on our servers, it would be a great return to the glory days of 25 raiding and i might start raiding again....(don't tell the wife).

They can't just do it in Korea otherwise Korean guilds would get all the world firsts with the higher ilvl loot - here's hoping this is a leak of real news.

^WELCOME BACK THELL I ALREADY PREPARED THE PARTY :FuckYeah:

WHO is that amazing Main tank? He makes the fight look so easy

Ah drums of battle.

Haha moaning about food now - in those days you had to drop your profession to become a leatherworker for permanent drums of battle uptime!

Do drums of speed still work and stack in MOP? I still had some in my bags with the macro when I logged in. Maybe that's the trick for Will of the Emperor!

heh they are doing it in some guilds now again because the bracer enchants are so inaccessible, drums afaik do not work stacking and has been the case since 4.0, not to mention the mediocre buff these days compared to lost benefit.

Damn kids haven't raided when you had every bloody pot in the game + flask on or you were slacking. :p

The way they're going about it this time seems a little fairer; the 25man loot being SLIGHTLY higher ilvl, with 10man H loot still being better than 25man normal loot, and the actual loot itself being the same (ie same trinkets same weapons same itemisation) between both formats. Means you don't NEED to run both, but if you've got the time, it's a great way to milk out that tiny little bit of extra gear; and provide some incentive to run 25man. Instead of the horribly broken system of Wrath (oh look I raid 10man but if I want trinkets that aren't SHIT I need to raid 25man. gg?). Which is why they changed it in the first place. 10man raiders got fucked in the ass and 25man raiders got everything. Not saying there doesn't need to be SOME incentive of running 25man, but the disparity between the loot in Wrath was over the top. 10h was NOT as easy as 25n. In any universe. And yet ilvl was the same, and trinkets/weapons were better? Makes perfect fucking sense.

I agree BUT those who raided before wrath when 10 / 25's had nothing to do with each other maybe even 40 mans will agree on the same hand loot aside a few things

1.You had choice of 10's / 25's at no point were you spoon feed slowly into raids
2.You had choice of the hours you raided and wanted to spend in raids - Making one ONLY raid inside the guild well yea...what happen if I wanna raid on the weekend?Make friends outside of the guild?10's was a perfect "do your own thing" what LFR now is but LFR is spending my time with 24 others I dont know or care to want to know, and if by chance I meet a friend 99.99% his from a different realm.
3.Alts and Alt raids are viable - (not slowly adding loot and forcing you to daily or just tuning the raid to be out geared aka cata up)
4.Server progession meant some thing - No one now cares less your World number #1 true story.

Think most of us play WoW to raid others enjoy other things aswell PvP-dailys-quests lists go's on and on but end of the day its really fairer to no one when you judge a MMORPG around loot not doing what 99% of us want to,that is raid with friends when you want.

Agree about you choosing your time invested. Was just pointing out that having a 10 and 25 man version of the same raid dropping different loot is a stupid system, and if they go back to it I'm gonna rage, hard.

I have to agree, I know in Wrath when Icecrown dropped i was running with a 10 man guild, but the caster shield ONLY dropped off the 25-man marrowgar. if it is itemized like that again you are still compelled to raid the one you don't want to in order to get gear. I don;t mind if both tiers dropped the same gear for the same slots with adjusted stats to reflect the difficulty, (in orgainization if nothing else) between 10 man and 25 man.

Pretty much this, except the worst offenders by far were trinkets. ToC was terrible for it. Solace etc. vs the 10man trinkets. Was so funny.

Well for loot(I was more talking about the game itself)But yea I guess I see a point, but I still think the fix was not just to add shared lock outs.I think game has mostly over the years been risk Vs reward like.

How can one say 10 + 25 should share the same loot? Its like a guy who's never going to get a heroic kill trying to say Normal / heroics should share same loot.Risk Vs reward heroic is harder should have better loot. But said player could argue there was a time when he could play and the only 10 / 25 heroic was your tanks shield breaking mid fight.

No matter how you look at it 25s are harder then tens to - Get 25 ppl online and staying online if only just that Risk Vs reward should say 25's gets better loot.Maybe not to were Blizzard forcing you into a 25man normal to get a shield. But wait there was always YOUR option to join a 25 pug(thay happen before said lockout changed killed them)and have a chance at rolling at it much like LFR now just better loot better ppl and more fun.

Get the point with rush and Heroic 25 ToC to next tier 10's trinkets(tho you still need to do 25 icc for dps trinkets)But the smallest of change on just a few items not a raid lock out could fix it.Much like inc valour upgrades to upgrade a item to beat it.

But hell its blizzard and forcing things on you well yea its nothing new.
