The Nighthold - Trilliax Raid Strategy Guide

Trilliax is an obsolete, older model construct discarded to the aqueducts of the Nighthold.
This is a 3 phase fight that is time (not health) dependent. Trilliax will cycle through all 3 phases multiple times during the encounter.
Pull the boss to the edge of the room and kite him in a circle around the perimeter. Ranged classes should stay behind the boss.

Abilities and Mechanics
Persistent Abilities

Arcane Seepage
- As Trilliax takes damage, he will target a non-tank player and spawn a damaging pool underneath them. It’s important to stay on the edge of the room in order to keep the center clear of pools.
Arcane Slash
- Trilliax will attack 2 targets in front of him, dealing large damage and debuffing the target who currently holds threat with Arcane Slash for 30 seconds.
  - Tanks should swap after 2 slashes.

Personality: The Cleaner

This is the first of Trilliax’s 3 personalities, which constitute phases.
This initial phase is very simple, especially at the start of the fight. Its simplicity makes it the ideal burn phase for DPS CDs.

Phase Abilities

Toxic Slice
- Trilliax will spawn decrepit pieces of cake.
- Run through the cake to “eat” it.
- Eating a cake will debuff the player with a stacking DoT.
- Have each player eat 1 cake. Those with defensive CDs can eat 2.
- Be certain to clear all cake slices, as they cause damage later.
Sterilize
- This ability doesn’t come into effect until the 2nd instance of The Cleaner phase, after The Caretaker.
- This is a debuff that causes pulsing AoE damage after 5 seconds.
- This is useful for assisting with adds that spawn in the previous phase.
Cleansing Rage
- This ability doesn’t come into effect until the 2nd instance of The Cleaner phase, after The Caretaker.
- Trilliax will do raid-wide damage for each remaining Toxic Slice from the previous The Cleaner phase.

Personality: The Maniac

Mana Rupture
- Half the raid will be randomly targeted and take unavoidable damage.
Arcing Bonds
- Two players will be linked together with a blue beam for 30 seconds.
- When too far apart from each other, the beam will be blue and deal damage to both players.
- When close enough to each other, the beam will turn red and no longer deal damage.
Annihilation
- Trilliax will channel a beam of energy in front of him and behind him that causes high damage.
- Trilliax will spin and occasionally change directions, so stay at his sides while avoiding Arcane Seepage pools.

Personality: The Caretaker

Succulent Feast
- Trilliax will summon a feast table that players can eat to gain a protection shield worth 2 million damage.
- Players cannot eat multiple feasts.
- Leave these for high mobility non-tank classes.
Tidy Up
- This ability summons 5 Scrubbers. Don’t attack these adds, as they are helpful if handled correctly.
- Scrubbers will begin Scrubbing, cleaning Seepage pools as they move.
  - Each time they clear a pool, they gain 20 mana.
  - At 100 mana, they begin to cast Cleansing Destruction, which does heavy damage if not cancelled. This is indicated by a bomb icon above the Scrubber’s head.
  - Cancel the spell by right clicking on a Scrubber. This will destroy the add, but you’ll take heavy damage. The damage can be negated by the shield from Succulent Feast.
  - Scrubbers will prioritize going towards remaining Toxic Slices. Eating a slice will instantly push the Scrubber to full mana, causing it to begin casting Cleansing Destruction.
  - Ensure that all slices are eaten by players. Kill or stun Scrubbers that get close to any left behind slices.
  - Scrubbers that are still active during the next phase can be amplified and cleansed of mana by players affected by Sterilize. Hitting a Scrubber with a pulse of Sterilize will increase its movement speed and cleanse its mana, making it more efficient at cleansing pools.

Trilliax, once proud servant to the nightborne aristocracy, has been discarded and left to slowly deteriorate among other surplus constructs. While an unwavering will to carry out its tasks remains, the passage of time has splintered this construct's personality matrix. It now unpredictably switches from one mode to the next, ranging from doting caretaker to homicidal sterilizer, craving recognition and validation from a master that no longer exists.

Overview - As the fight progresses, the malfunctioning construct swaps between various modes that determine what abilities it uses. During Cleaner mode, eat Toxic Slices. During Maniac mode, avoid Annihilation. While Trilliax is in Caretaker mode, hop onto scrubbers when they malfuction to prevent the raid taking damage from Cleansing Destruction. On Mythic difficulty, Trilliax uses Personality Transference to activate additional constructs. When Trilliax's current mode matches the additional construct's, they activate Dual Personalities.

- Tanks -
  - Take turns getting hit with Arcane Slash.
  - During Maniac mode, stand close to your partner when connected by Arcing Bonds.
  - During Caretaker mode, jump on Scrubbers when they channel Cleansing Destruction.
  - Steadily move Trilliax around the room to avoid Arcane Seepage.
Arcane Seepage - Bile seeps from the construct as it is struck, creating arcane pools at random locations that inflict 250,500 Arcane damage every 1 sec.
Arcane Slash - Slashes with arcane claws that spilts 1,430,000 Arcane damage between two targets. Also places a debuff on the current target that increases all damage received by 35% for 30 sec. This effect stacks.
Personality Transference - One of Trilliax's personalities leaps from his body into another construct.
- Energized - The construct gains 5% mana every 1 sec in preparation to unleash its signature attack.
- Dual Personalities - When matching personalities are active at the same time, the imprint gains 1% mana every 1 sec.
- The Cleaner Personality Transference -
  - Toxic Slice - Throws toxic slices of cake at random locations that inflict 214,500 Nature damage on impact. Eating one of these cakes inflicts 71,450 Nature damage every 1 sec. for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
  - Cleansing Rage - Flies into a rage, using arcane missiles to decimate any food that has been left on the floor. Each one destroyed inflicts 714,500 Arcane damage to the raid.
- The Maniac Personality Transference -
  - Mana Rupture - Mana erupts from the construct, inflicting 70,695 Arcane damage to random targets every 1 sec.
  - Annihilation - Enemies caught in Annihilation suffer 357,000 Arcane damage every 0.25 sec.
The Cleaner - Trilliax's cleaner personality takes over and wants to scrub the raid into oblivion.
- Toxic Slice - Throws toxic slices of cake at random locations that inflict 214,500 Nature damage on impact. Eating one of these cakes inflicts 71,450 Nature damage every 1 sec. for 20 sec. This effect stacks.
  - Stuffed - The toxic cake swells inside your stomach and you can't eat another bite. Your movement speed is reduced 30% for 60 sec.
- Sterilize - Trilliax causes random enemies to erupt with violent energy that inflicts 81,000 Arcane damage every 0.5 sec to allies within 7 yards for 40 sec.
  This effect will also disrupt nearby scrubbers, draining their energy by 4% every 0.5 sec and increasing their movement speed by 70%. Each scrubber being drained inflicts 140,000 Arcane damage every 0.5 sec.
- Cleansing Rage - Flies into a rage, using arcane missiles to decimate any food that has been left on the floor. Each one destroyed inflicts 714,500 Arcane damage to the raid.
The Maniac - Trilliax's maniac personality takes over, increasing the frequency of Arcane Slash.
- Mana Rupture - Mana erupts from the construct, inflicting 70,695 Arcane damage to random targets every 1 sec.
- Arcing Bonds - Trilliax binds targets together, inflicting 13,400 Arcane damage every 0.25 sec while they are not standing next to each other.
- Annihilation - Enemies caught in Annihilation suffer 357,000 Arcane damage every 0.25 sec.
The Caretaker - Trilliax's caretaker personality takes over and is no longer hostile.
- Tidy Up - Summons Scrubbers to clean up pools of Arcane Seepage.
  - Scrubber - These small arcane scrubbers are nigh indestructible and are used to clear rubbish. They prefer Toxic Slices, which will immediately destroy the scrubber, but if none are around they will clean pools of Arcane Seepage. As it cleans seepage, the scrubber gains energy. If a scrubber reaches max energy, it explodes.
    - Cleansing Destruction - If the channel completes the Scrubber explodes, inflicting 464,500 Arcane damage to the raid.
- Succulent Feast - Throws succulent feasts at random enemies. Eating one of these feasts grants a shield absorbing 6,000,000 damage for 2 min.
