World of Warcraft Classic Survey: New Features and What's Next?
Blizzard has sent surveys to select players asking for feedback on potential new features and the future of World of Warcraft Classic. While these features are not confirmed, the survey gives us a glimpse into the ideas Blizzard is exploring for the next WoW Classic project.

- Playable Shamans on the Alliance Side - The introduction of Shaman class to the Alliance
- Collections - A UI-based storage system for pets, mounts, and toys to free up inventory space
- Account-Wide Collections - Making all pets, mounts, and toys available to all characters on your account
- 1v1 Duel Arenas - The ability to go into a special dueling area for 1v1 contests that are viewable by spectators
- New Player Character Models - Character models similar to those used for player characters in modern World of Warcraft
- In-game Events - New events that offer different small quests & casual gameplay around the world. These would release between large updates.
- Pet Battles - Collect pets from the game world and have them compete head to head with other pets in turn-based battles
- Leveling Professions Improvements - Ability to make more usable gear for yourself as you level and be able to craft it at level-appropriate tradeskill levels
- New Class Abilities and Spells - Brand new class abilities and/or spells unique to this version of Classic
- Honor Rewards Redesign - Move honor rewards away from the original WoW model and towards a more seasonal model where new honor rewards are added to coincide with new PvE raid tier updates
- WoW Token - A secure and convenient way for players to exchange gold for game time or Battle.net Balance
- Class Talent Adjustments - Streamlining and improving class talent trees to make weaker specializations and classes more viable while still maintaining the overall feel and flow of classic combat
- Account-wide Perks and Progression System - A system to allow you to gather points and spend them on account-wide bonuses such as quality of life and convenience, encouraging playing alts or specializing in specific activities
- Playable High Elves - Playable High-Elf-Like race for the horde and the alliance
- Revisiting "Known" but unexplored zones - Visiting zones that were a part of Warcraft history but were never playable in Original World of Warcraft. (i.e. Mount Hyjal, Uldum, Gilneas, etc.)
- Player Housing - Instanced personalized housing for players and guilds
- Achievements - A system to track game milestones and accomplishments
- Cross-Realm Play - Ability to group with friends from other realms for dungeons, battlegrounds, and other instanced activities
- Honor System Redesign - A ground-up redesign of the honor system removing the hard honor cap, making the system more evergreen and continually engaging
- War Mode - As an alternative to PvP servers, this mode would allow you to opt-in to PvP in the open world via a toggle in main faction cities
- Brand New Zones - Completely new playable areas with unique lore added to Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor
- 20 Player Raids - New 20-player focused raid dungeons
- 40 Player Raids - New 40-player focused raid dungeons
- Graphical Improvements to Lighting, Shadows, and Surface Reflections - Using modern technology to improve the lighting engine in the game for more realistic lights, shadows, and reflections on surfaces like water and glass
- New Tradeskills - New primary and secondary professions
- Graphical Texture Improvements and Resolution Upgrade - Using modern technology to improve the fidelity of textures used on classic art assets.
- New Battleground - New objective-based PvP instance
- New race and class combinations - New class race combinations, including those never before seen in Warcraft
- New Class - Character classes that are completely new to any version of World of Warcraft (i.e. not Death Knights, Monks, Demon Hunters, Evokers)
- 10 Player Raids - New 10-player focused raid dungeons
- Cross-Realm Guilds - Ability to invite your friends from other realms to join your player guild
- Transmogrification - The ability to change the appearance of your equipped items. Transmogs will only be visible in rested areas, dungeons, or raids (i.e., no open world PvP, no Battlegrounds)
- Playable Paladins on the Horde Side - The introduction of Paladin class to the Horde

- A Classic Era (e.g., Vanilla-style servers) realm (with my Mists of Pandaria characters)
- A different version of Classic (without my Mists of Pandaria characters)
- Retail/Modern WoW (with my Mists of Pandaria characters)
- Wrath of the Lich King Classic or another earlier Classic expansion (with my Mists of Pandaria characters)
- Classic Warlords of Draenor, if it becomes available
- A permanently frozen Mists of Pandaria Classic realm with no further updates
- I do not plan to continue playing WoW after the end of Classic Mists of Pandaria
