Computer help!

funny cause I am at the opposite end where I cant get a video card for my laptop to keep up with my cpu.

Today's laptops if you spend the $ can be great. But was a point where smaller was not better

But to be honest raiding any 25man on a laptop should be a feat of strength only in the last few years would you get away with it.

For the money / performance you cant beat a desktop, more so if you like me who like's to pull things about / upgrade. Also on a laptop where would I fit my G19 - Razor - 6+ fans making more noise then my AC

yeah I had to get a gaming laptop as I flew around the world to much and cant really take a desktop on the plane with me :).

a laptop with an i5 cpu and a 560m graphics should do.

:HappyPerfect: while gaming on 1366x768 resolution

I have the 480m atm and apparently I cant put anything higher in it. :( sucks since I got a I7 and never even come close to using it at 50%

Ended up buying an SSD, a new PSU. W7 64bit, 4gb of extra ram (my spare sticks were different speeds :<<<) and a better CPU fan because mine is on the way out apparently. THEN I'LL OVERCLOCK THAT SHIIIIIT.

Thanks all for your advice :)

^no one cares about ssd specs as long as you give me 2000 gold in game

Seems legit I'll give you 4000 to clear up any other problems

No new Cpu?No doubt having to remove the CPU heatsink / apply new thermal paste to replace the fan(I will headbutt my wall for you)

Get the OEM windows?

Overclocking the CPU I linked on page 2 the 1st gen Version (IF thats what you have)Will add little to no FPS gains. Its FSB problem of the CPU nothing will fix but a replace.

TBH an SSD will give barely noticeable gains gameplay-wise, only faster loading screens. WoW is more of a CPU hog & if you want max Shadow detail along with the post 5.x patch gfx improvements/additions, GFX hog. I remember reading upgrading your operating system to a 64 bit version will help, but I can't find the link so take that piece with a grain of salt.

My PC Specs

Intel I7 quad-core 3820 @ 3.60 GHz
1 TB HDD @ 7200 RPM
AMD Radeon HD 6800 1 GB @ GDDR5
Windows 7 64 Bit

I had my wow on ssd pre patch

Now it's not, for different reasons

My load times are now about 250% longer

dude go read my post about my computer spec, bought my rig for $950 in Perth, I run 25 mans above 60 fps on all fights, i run fraps plus mumble and it stays above 45 FPS all on ultra settings.

I talked to a gaming shop, told them i wanna play in 25 mans and not have any probs and i only have $1000, wot they built has blown me away.
