Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there are any fixes out there?

Basically it's taking a really long time to log into the game (From connecting to loading server then characters) and when I do, the game just gets stuck on the loading screen. Had really high latency when I logged in this morning, then d/ced a few times before being unable log back on.

Never had this issue before and wondering if it's a Blizzard thing or it's somethng I can help (like tweaking files/folders etc). My connection seems fine and restarted comp a few times.

Anyway, any light that can be shed on this would be appreciated. :)

See chatbox for a possible solution

Hmm would work if only I could get to the character selection screen now ugh...getting all these "unable to connect" errors and when I don't the connection process is taking ages.

Thanks for the link though, will try whenever I can get to the damn character screen. :)

Must be different issue then. Not sure sorry

What interwebs do you use? Mine is screwing up nao

Starhub. It's been excellent all the while and nothing's changed so it's pretty wtf for me.

Heard some undersea cable from HK to SG and SG to Tokyo got cut, but that would mean all internetz out, not just WoW I think. Other sites are loading just fine.

Edit: Managed to log on just now for a couple of minutes with like 3k ms. Then got DC-ed and kept getting DC-ed. Ugh.

Lewl. I have always been a faithful user of Starhub until just about half a year ago... When all my torrents (read: porn) speeds became crap!

Then I switched to Singtel and it has been pretty hassle free and I have great speeds. Initially I still DCed when the fights got too intensive but smoothping pretty much fixed it for me permanently.

Actually Xedi that could be the cause. Generally there are several underseas cables connecting any two main hubs but they are limited to a certain amount of traffic, if one or two are cut then the routers try to push everything through what's left and at a busy time like now over there I'm sure it would bring SG to a crawl.

Looks like it. From forums seems a lot of Singaporean, if not Oceanic players are getting affected.

Just pretty annoyed since my alt is playable at 600MS and I can't even log into Xedi. Getting disconnected at loading screen. I suspect that's because she's in Dalaran. Seeing if a GM will move her ugh.

I'm having problems logging in now (8pm Singapore time). Worse thing is that once I do log in, there is no realm available to me.

For the Singaporeans - One of the suggested solutions by a blue was that you log onto an alt and ask the GM to move your chars out of Dalaran. I think it's a combination of problems after maintenance and the cable issue. Toons might be loggable outside of dala, which is pretty high traffic.

But good luck with the ticket...have been sitting around since mid-afternoon on alt while alt-tabbing to do other stuff. Still no GM. =/

Managed to get in for half a second on one attempt and saw 18,000ms T_T.

It took 2 days for my last two tickets to get answered. And then a GM did not speak to me, only sent me an email. This happened while I was online on the toon I filed the ticket with, went from high volume to serviced soon to my phone going off with the email to nothing.

When I used to have this problem on a previous patch I had to log into a lvl 1 character in quiet area for 5 minutes, which cleared something or other.

Then log into main.

Worth trying at least.

Ticketing the GM is only going to be possible if you do log in. I'm still stuck at login page. It just keeps trying to connect until it disconnects.

Yeah that is useful for itemcache clears on patch days. This is a SG thing related to their international connectivity it appears. Xedi has been able to log her priest and play for some time but still not able to get in on paladin.

Lol I'm trying to brute force Xedi out of Dalaran right now. Logging on, trying to run her as far as she can to the FP before the server throws her out again. So far I've been able to move her about 10 steps in as many minutes :p

i'm having problems logging in also right now. Will be late for raid until i manage to fix it.

A segment of the Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea cable network between China and Taiwan suffered a serious cable fault on Wednesday, causing Internet traffic to be rerouted onto other undersea cables and slowing Internet access for some users in Southeast Asia.

The APCN2 cable is owned by a consortium of 26 telecom operators from 14 different countries. The cable links Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, South Korea and Japan.

C.O.B.R.A. are trying to rescue Hakkar from ZA by haxorring into the interwebs with a direct tap on the net cable from their under water base. Publicity for a G.I. Joe/Wow movie tie-in coming to a cinema near you (maybe).
