  • Scourge Strike has been revamped - An unholy strike that deals 50% of weapon damage as Physical damage plus 400 (Shows as 40000 in the tooltip but I'll assume it's a typo). In addition, for each of your diseases on your target, you deal an additional 25% of the Physical damage done as Shadow damage.
  • Unholy Blight now deals 10% of the damage done by Death Coil over 10 sec. (Down from 20%)

yay finally! That makes scorch on par with imp shadow bolt. Also no more paining over a glyph slot choice.

Scorch will no longer stack. A single cast will apply the 5% crit debuff. Previously I had to cast 5 times or use the [item]Glyph of Improved Scorch[/item] which nerfed personal dps because better glyphs are available.
The new scorch glyph will just affect personal dps (+20% scorch damage or something - I doubt this will be significant - will be interesting to see) so it will be easy to assess in comparison with the other available glyphs. In fact there are only really 3 glyphs which affect personal dps so it's usually a no-brainer to use those. With 2+ fire mages no one really needs the scorch glyph anyway - 2 or 3 casts each was all that was needed. Evil and Xiki tend to prefer arcane atm so I have always has this glyph quandary.
 
This is what happens currently. Each scorch debuffs the boss for 1% crit. Need to cast 5 scorches to stack the debuff up to 5%.
After the change a single scorch will apply the 5% crit debuff.
Am I answering the right question?
 
I dont get why it "stacks to 5" when a single scorch does it is all. lol
 
because shadowbolt can crit better
but frostfireboltslows the mob down
so tentatively incinerate crits higher
 
Single scorch doesn't do it all yet until 3.3 drops.

Currently: scorch is 1% crit debuff, stacks up to 5 times
After 3.3 patch: scorch is 5% crit debuff, doesn't stack
 
They are putting the glyph into the base talent now. Thus scorch bitch can do it in one shot and free the glyph for something productive.

Currently:
Talent + glyph = 1 scorch = 5%
Talent + no glyph = 1 scorch = 1% which means 5 scorches til 5%

3.3 Patch:
Talent = 1 scorch til 5%
glyph = free slot for something better!
