Just had this forwarded to me from the St Louis NBC affiliate, someone sent it in to their news tips email:

There was a short tornado in Brighton, IL last night. Four teens were
driving on a country road toward Brighton and saw what they thought was
a funnel cloud, so they started video on their cell phone. The video
shows everything that happened next. It swept their car off the road
into a field, picked the car up and carried it across the field (approx.
100+ yards), above a grove of tall oak trees and threw them back down
onto the field. When the car hit, it killed the engine. The storm then
blew the car back across the field and left them right by the road where
they had originally left it.

My husband and I were called to the scene because it's my husband's farm
field. You could tell by the tracks that the car wasn't driven. You
could see where the car left the road, a short set of
lighter-than-they-should-be tracks. And then they stop. There is
another set of tracks leading from the back of the field back to the
road, again lighter than they should be for the weight of a car, but a
little deeper than the first set. You could tell the car was not driven
across the field because there was no sign of spinning or traction -
just like the marks a kid's toy car would make if he pushed it in the
dirt.

All four passengers were wearing seat belts and all escaped without a
scratch. And it's all on video. I don't know their names, but they
filed a report with the Brighton Police Dept.
